We're Swamped......

The last two weeks have been busy here in our town - for us, anyway. Mostly it had to do with weddings, work, meetings, family picnic, guests, going to the airport, you know, things you all do all of the time plus everything else you do - like rearing children. - Well, maybe not the weddings.

Brant & Erin were married on the 30th. Family Picnic for GG was on the 31st. Quinn received his endowments on the 5th. Dennine and Tom were married on the 6th. Marissa was baptized on the 7th. It was very, very, very busy.

GG was very surprised - as were the rest of us - that my Aunt Lois's were able to come. (All but Ron and his wife.) This was a shot before everyone got there. Then my camera gave out so I didn't get anymore. All my siblings were able to come.

GG attended parts of the goings on. D & T had a ring ceremony right before their reception for T's mom's family. The Bishop talked about the temple marriage and what it means and how important it is. He couldn't have given a better talk. GG really listened.

Monday we went for a walk with the Sister Missionaries. We both had a very peaceful and great walk. There are 3 of them and you couldn't ask for better.

Humanitarian Sisters Night. We had a great time cutting out baby nightgowns.

The story of this rose. Miguel was taking a picture of a rose at a house that was up for sale. The realtor was in the house, saw him, asked if she could help him. He told her he was admiring the rose so she gave him a slip of the rose. He planted at home. It did well. When he moved to Texas he forgot to take it so asked if I would get it for him. (It was about 3 inches high at that point.) It did okay for a while. Had Lynett repot it in an airpot so wouldn't rot the roots. It stopped growing. The first picture shows where it stayed for many, many months. Finally I gave it the right kind of fertilizer and gave it some rooting compound, and within a couple of months - it looks like the second picture. Amazing what nurturing with the right stuff can do.
