Spring is in the Air - The Spring Bling

Yesterday GG and I went to the Presbyterian Church Spring Fling. (I would have had her write this, but she will be writing up another part) We had a wonderful time. We were even able to get back in time for the last session of Saturday Conference.

Before the meal the women were given the opportunity to get some dress hats to wear. Most people took part in that. (This was a women's luncheon with the men serving - except for the 4 women who organized, cooked, made aprons, etc.)

I was able to go around and get pictures of everyone.
The plan was to get pictures of GG with her closets friends - she actually didn't know the plans. It would have been nigh on to impossible anyway. Too many people.

There was a luscious lunch (more like dinner proportions) and a huge piece of cake with yummy frosting and lots of blackberry sauce. Oh was it good. Ate every bite. Ohhhh was the tummy full.

After the meal there a "fashion show". It was indescribable so will send some pictures. The words that were read while the ladies were modeling really made it fun. Everyone had a good laugh.

The whole thing was a success. Wish we could pass on the feelings we left with. It was a beautiful warm day, anyway. It truly did feel like spring.
